Just a little test post. I have switched blogging software and server platform. Now the blog is hosted somewhere in Texas by the good people from SeekDotNet.com.

As I stated in a previous post, Google's Picasa is a pretty neat little tool. Just look what the "I Feel Lucky"-button made of my previous picture - the colors are so much more vibrant - but actually the previous post is more true to the actual colors - everything is so dusty in Bahrain for some reason..

The Dilmun Burial Mounds are supposedly something Eunesco deems worthy of preservation - much to the dismay of the Bahraini who'd prefer skyscrapers and large-scale urbanisation. There are a few square kilometers of what the picture above shows, all burial mounds, and presumably all robbed long ago. Also in late October we experienced 35C and scorching sun, so we only stayed a few minutes.

Bahrain Fort as seen coming out a few minutes after sun-down. I'm very pleased with this shot.

I was just browsing pictures from our trip to Bahrain.. This lonely bird on a sandbank a few miles out to sea sort of gripped me.. Looks sort of like something you'd see on the cover of a travelmagazine. Maybe I'll post some more pictures soon. Btw. Picasa is a pretty neat little program .. Very well done, google guys.
